The University of Hartford teamed up with local police to perform a demonstration pertaining to the need of seat belt use. Police provided a device that simulated a crash of 5 miles an hour. Even at such a low speed you can see the impact that the collision has the volunteer’s body. As a personal injury lawyer in North Palm Beach, there are two things that I take away from this video. First and foremost is the absolute need for people to use a seat belt. Secondly, while a 5 mile per hour impact may not do a lot of damage to your car, it could do a lot of damage to your body.
