Protecting The Rights Of Drunk Driving Victims
Last updated on November 29, 2023
In a recent study conducted by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, there seems to be an increase in the number of teenage drunk drivers, especially on New Year’s Eve. Such season is already the deadliest driving day of the year in fatalities and drunk driving car accidents. Every personal injury attorney wishes they were able to report that the current school programs have worked well in reducing the amount of teenage drunk driving cases. However, this recent study by Liberty Mutual shows that is not the case.
There was one redeeming and promising fact that the study showed, which was that most of the teenagers that were surveyed did indicate that they would allow someone else to drive if that option was presented to them. The study also concluded that teenagers that had parents who spoke to them about the perils of driving drunk were much less likely to operate a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
A Personal Injury Attorney Ready To Assist You
Throughout his professional career as an attorney, Mr. Tighe helps clients who have been victims of the negligent and reckless actions of drunk drivers. While his vocation is to help people that have been hurt through no fault of their own, it is absolutely devastating watching the heartache that a family goes through when they lose a loved one due to the negligence of a drunk driver.
While the hope is that anyone never has to deal with this issue in the future, car accidents happen, and you may need the help of a compassionate and experienced personal injury attorney. The best that we can hope as a society is that the school system and parents work on the education of our children when it comes to driving while drunk.
